Compare your wingspan to your height and see your wingspan difference and wingspan ratio. This is a simple way to measure reach, leverage, and athletic profile.
Measure your standing height without shoes for the most consistent result.
Stretch both arms straight out from shoulder to fingertip for the full wingspan measurement.
Stand against a wall with your feet flat and your posture tall. Mark the top of your head, then measure from the floor to that mark. Use the same method each time for a consistent reading.
Stand with both arms fully extended straight out to the sides at shoulder height. Measure from fingertip to fingertip across your body. Keep your shoulders level and arms straight for the best result.
Wingspan Difference = Wingspan - Height
If the wingspan is longer, you’ll see a positive difference. If it matches your height, the difference is zero. If it is shorter, the difference will be negative.
Wingspan Ratio = Wingspan / Height, rounded to 2 decimal places.
Measure height and wingspan the same way each time so your numbers stay comparable.
Stand tall and keep your shoulders level to avoid losing inches in the measurement.
A wingspan ratio above 1.00 means your wingspan is longer than your height.
Use the calculator as a benchmark alongside strength, jump, and sprint measurements.
